Greetings Prophets:
Prepared by “Ghost Writer” PM Joe Huber
Where did the summer go?! Fall is really early this year, the leaves are turning colors and already falling due to a lack of rain. Still time to finish those last minute outdoor projects.
What better way to celebrate fall than with a Clam Bake?! The Al Sirat Family Clam Bake will be held on Saturday, October 12th at the Reinecker Party Center. Doors open at 3:00pm, serving line forms at 4:00pm. See the flyer in this issue of the Black Fez for more details. This event is open to the Friends and Family of Al Sirat.
We are very proud to announce that at the Supreme Council Convention in New Orleans, we were awarded the Grand Monarch’s Award for Opening and Closing Ritual Work. Congratulations to all of our Officers for this award. Pleased to announce that THE Black Fez was awarded second place in the publication contest.
Congratulations to Dave Korb, of Yusef Kahn Grotto, for being elected and installed to the position of Grand Monarch of Grottoes International!
The Daughters of Mokanna held their Supreme Council Meeting in Canton. Congratulation to Rhonda Darling on being elected to the position of Supreme Namourna and to Trudy Gollmer on being appointed to the position of Supreme Zeldina. Have a Great Year! The Al Sirat Daughters were well represented with seven in attendance, accompanied by two Tag Along’s (David Darling and Joe Huber).
The Tag Along’s had a great time. They visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame, rode in some Antique Fire Engines, enjoyed a really good Steak Lunch and participated in a “Puppy Dog Degree”. Don’t ask.
Again, see you at our Clam Bake, enjoy the Fall Weather, get to a Football Game, and get in one more round of Golf!
Remember, Out of Site, Out of Mind.
