Hi everyone!
It seems like only yesterday that you elected me to be your Monarch for this past year. Time really flies when you are having fun!
I want to thank the Officers and committee members of Al Sirat Grotto for their hard work to help make this a fun year! They make sure things happen! I would be remiss if I did not thank my wife, Joani, for being Mrs. Monarch. Without her support, the job of Monarch would have been a lot more difficult.
This was a post-COVID year. We resumed a number of our old events and activities that had been on hold due to the Pandemic and tried some new ones, i.e., “Game Night.” We updated our Website, streamlined our distribution of the Black Fez, and utilized more emails to get it to you faster with significant cost savings. We had regular “Fermentation” meetings, a Golf Outing, and a catered Clam Bake.
We made sure the Daughters of Mokanna were included in our events, as well as friends and family.
December 16th, we will once again be hosting the Tri-Youth Day at Lakewood Temple. This event has been on hold in recent years because of the Pandemic. Help support our Masonic Youth. They are the future of all our Masonic Organizations.
And we will wrap up the year with the Black Fez Christmas Dinner at the Brown Derby in Medina on December 28th.
I congratulate and welcome our incoming Monarch, Ed Leonard, and his Officers and wish them a great year.
Their Installation will be at Brookside Temple on Saturday, January 6th at 2:00 pm. Again, thank you for allowing me to serve you as your Monarch; please join us at one of our events, and bring a friend!
