September 2026 Monarch's Message

To All of our Prophets, Ladies and Friends,

I know summer is not officially over yet, but it did seem to fly by. Rhonda and I enjoyed our

summer travels, picnic, parties and our grandson Grayson’s travel baseball games.

We attended the OGA Convention along with Joani and Joe Huber and Erik Kohl in Fairborn,

Ohio. The convention was well attended with prophets from all over Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Texas, and Arkansas. Matt Carson was elected President, Gary Pastor Deputy President, Art Crim 1st Vice President, Joe Huber 2nd Vice President, Charlie Lough Sgt at Arms and I was elected as Sentinel. We had a great time with the Grand Monarch and several Grand Line Officers in attendance. We all went through the Water Buffalo degree and became members.

Al Sirat Charitable Corp held its annual Charity Golf Outing at Cossett Creek Golf Course in August. We had 28 golfers with 6 helpers and cooks. The weather was cloudy and overcast, but no rain. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our event sponsor, MAXPACK. Our hole sponsors were Joani & Joe Huber, Kay & Ron Panovec in memory of Al Panovec, Gary Clevenger in memory of John Clevenger, Bollinger Funeral Home, Superior Steel Stamp, Finley and Co. and Gary Mikoch in memory of Bill Bridle. Don’t forget Al Sirat plays golf on Thursday mornings at Bob-O-Link Golf Course. 9:30 a.m. tee off. Hope to see you there.

As you read this September issue, remember to support your Blue Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Eastern Star and our Youth Groups. I also look forward to our local high school football games in September. Rhonda and I will be traveling to Little Rock, Arkansas for the Daughter of Mokanna Supreme Session along with a few of the other Al Sirat daughters.

Our monthly meeting will be on Monday, September 21st. At 6:30 p.m. we will host Taco Night. We will supply hard and soft tacos with all of the fixings. Come and make your own special taco and enjoy a non-alcoholic margarita.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

.

Monarch David Darling
