May 2025 Monarch's Message

Greetings Prophets:

SWe have finally been able to enjoy warm spring weather. It's time to start that outdoor lawn work and enjoy some of those May flowers that bloom at this time of year. For some of you it's time to dust off those golf clubs and enjoy some time in the great outdoors.

Prophets, remember May 11th is Mother’s Day, don't forget that very special person in your life

because without them you wouldn't be here. If you are lucky, they are still in your life but if not remember all that they did to make you who you are. On Monday May 26th, Al Sirat Grotto officers and members will have the Memorial Day Observance. We will be meeting at Katherine's Restaurant, 7533 Pearl Road, Cleveland, Ohio at 8:00 AM for breakfast. The ceremony at Monroe Street Cemetery starts at 10 AM and then we proceed to go to York Cemetery to present colors for our fallen service men and women. Prophets should wear their Fez and a white shirt, all others proper business attire. PM David Darling will be hosting a picnic after the ceremonies at his home at 2:00pm - bring a side dish.

Don't forget we will soon be having our annual Al Sirat Picnic on June 21st at 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brookside Metro Park. We would like to see those attending to bring a desert or salad to share with all. We will be supplying hot dogs, hamburgers, vegan burgers, water, soft drinks, chips and other goodies. There will be games before eating so bring your competitive spirit.
